David Archuleta (the CD review)

Okay to kick this baby off,
Track 1. "Crush": Stated by me, many times before, amazing song, the first time I heard it, I cried. I still love the song! It's still amazing! I hope you still like it too!

Track 2. "Touch My Hand": Former 2nd single. Awesome. I love this song. It seems very passionate and real, I like the idea of him falling in love with someone in the audience...*cough* Me! LOL! jk! It's a very cute song. they have a great word in there "wonderwall"

Track 3. "Barriers" in my top 5! i really love the song "Barriers!" it's sorta a mix or R&B and pop! I really love this one! i don't know what i love about it so much, there's just something about it.

Track 4. "My Hands" one of the weirdest and most awkward songs on the disk, yet i still love it. it may not make much sense in parts, but it's just a great song to listen to when ur thinking about someone you love. great hook: "Oohhhh..wah" kept going on and on for an extraodinarily long amount of time, but whatever....i still love.

Track 5. "A Little Too Not Over You" : he totally sells the regretful boyfriend thing. it seems like: he's trying to delude himself into believing that he's actually over the girl, but he knows he's not, he wants the girl back so bad, but he knows they'll never get back together because of the words he said. a song for all those people that broke up out there and miss their exs. by the end: he's in complete emotional anguish, he can't take it anymore.

Track 6. "You Can": let's just say: total amazingness! in the song, it seemed like he wants that girl so bad. everytime i hear it, i want to cry. it makes me feel so bad that such a sweet kid like lil Davvie feels so (i can't think of that word) strongly about it. he wants that girl so bad, i can hear the tears through the headphones, it heartwrenching.

Track 7. "Running": another awkward song on the disk. seems very popish. also doesn't make sense in some parts, i still love love love it, it's just so happy and exciting that you never know what's next and around the corner.

Track 8. "Desperate" : listening to it right now, i muted my TV so i could hear it. totally no doubt about it, in my top 5! AMAZING AND MY FAVE POWER BALLAD EVER! no ballad can ever beat this. this has to be so amazing, no better word for it but amazing. awesome. it's like i've fast-forward in time and im listening to 25-year-old David Archuleta. the best word is amazing. top 5

Track 9. "To Be With You" : in my top 5! awesome, awesome, awesome! it seemed to me like he actually was thinking about a girl he was in love with. David, "To Be With You, there's nothing I wouldn't do." it's also very heartwrenching to actually think that he would feel this way and want her so bad, i could hear he his heart breaking through the headphones. yes, i've said something like that before, but i could. the very best vocal moment on the entire album comes in this song. the verses are so simple, no over-singing, being confessional. the best vocal moment on the entire album: the bridge to end all bridges, "What I wouldn't give to feel that way." "Way" is held and then let go to perfection, intense, passionate, yet, controlled. than: "Oh, to be with you, oh..." and he sucks in his breath through his teeth after the "oh" like he's in honest-to- God, emotional ANGUISH. i can hear his heart breaking through the headphones. after that, David is living in the song, he wants to be with that girl more than anything in the world, he makes you believe it. a song reference in my review: "I Got Chills, They're Multiplyin'"

Track 10. "Don't Let Go" : Jason Mraz influence in this song, rich, ironic tone. haha. sing-a-long-able. lyrics are clever and quirky: "trying to hear your heart beat through the door" and it changes to "trying to hear your heart break through the door" and modestly naughty: "Some days are cold, but together, one day we'll both change the weather....." heat it up baby!

Track 11. "Your Eyes Don't Lie" : top 5. Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" meets country type feel. this one appeals to me a lot and i have no clue why! really! it's just a great song. the whistling was just a great enough hook for me. "I couldn't sleep, I though of nothing else, I needed help" seems to like he was actually going out of his mind trying to understand why the girl was going with someone else and trying to make sense out of it. i love it when he says "Your Eyes Don't Lie...and they never will girl." and "ohhhhh, now that I know-ow-ow, we were apart, but your heart never let go, so thank you for showing me, what once was and still is a possibility-y-y....." that is just great great great!

Track 12. "Angels": come on guys, amazing enough, doesn't need a review...TOTALLY BETTER THAN WHEN HE SANG IT ON AMERICAN IDOL!

Track 13. "Works For Me": Daniel Bedingfield and David work great together! i don't know what i can say about this song beside that it's great! the chorus is easiliy memorizable. David has a GREAT falsetto! I totally love this song!

Track 14. "Somebody Out There": the very beginning was a good enough hook, awkward but awesomely amazing song. the chorus: "There's Somebody Out There, Somebody Somewhere To Show You THe Tenderness You Need, Somebody To Hold You, When Worries Control You, I'd Give Anything If Only You Knew It Was Me" *cries a little* deep and tender, nice and true. i wish there was somebody that could understand me as much as you could do. *holds heart* it's like he's reaching into everyone's soul and taking out what they actually want...i want somebody that could actually understand me...he's reading my mind, and yet I feel I could read his. just a shiver worthy song. makes me think.....

Track 15. "Waiting For Yesterday": top 5. i dont care how many top 5s there are, i could say they're all in my top 5. wow, this song is awesome...i keep using awesome and amazing....this doesn't qualifiy as pop, this is R&B! he's reassuring the girl he likes that she doesn't have to be afraid to fall in love with him, just do so, he won't treat her like the other boyfriend did, he knows that what the other boy did to the girl, he's reaching out to all the girls and women that have been abused and treated like garbage by someone that it's alright to fall in love again. "Hold on to me and just remember....oh no, never let go" the power house of the whole song! he's reassuring all girls that have been treated creully that just be careful who you fall in love with, hold onto someone you know will never let you fall and will treat you with respect and dignity. *thinks to self* WOW! I'M DEEP!

Track 16. "Let Me Go": Top 5 again! cool, risk-taking weird but cool song! awesome hook, sorta like Spears' "Womanizer" like radio active, something like that. awesome! still loving it! David's taking a risk with this song, he's showing his dangerous side in this. sexy also.

Track 17. "Falling": Props to Davvie for WRITING this! i get total chills listening to this! goosebumps.David wrote this at age 14 after someone ina relative's family unsuspectedly committed suicide. David Be Deep! a kid, a 14 year old kid, uses nice language while writing a song...David be an awesome song writer, and amazing person...someone you should follow and live by, and the best singer in year, my one and only, my David James Archuleta.
