"Oh my God, Virginia! You look beautiful!" I exclaim as Virginia comes out of the dressing room with the 3rd dress on.
She looks in the mirror and contorts her face, "I don't know, does it look good?"
"It looks gorgeous!" Allison says before I could say anything.
She bites her lip, "I don't know guys, I've never gone shopping like this before, I can't tell if he'll like it. I don't know if I like it!" She laughs at her own stupidity. We were out shopping for her wedding dress just 2 months after the proposal. They were getting married in August. The 25th to be exact and we were all excited. Allison and I offered to come because she wanted second opinions and we were two of her bridesmaids.
"Are you serious?" I question, "You're worrying if David won't like your wedding dress?"
She laughs again, "Yeah, how do you guys know if you like a dress a lot?"It was obvious she never did some serious shopping like a lot of the other girls at school did.
I think about this because I never shopped for a wedding dress either, but I did remember the shows I used to watch when I was little with my mom. I remembered the shows like "Say Yes To The Dress," where the ladies knew it was their dress when they started crying. I immediately thought that Virginia wouldn't cry if she looked at herself in the mirror if she loved a dress. So I told her my best answer and she was like "We're going to be here all day."
Luckily, we were not there all day. Actually, after about 5 more dresses, we found the one for her and she did cry. She thought it looked beautiful. We all agreed and to reassure her we told her that if she wore anything, David would love it. We knew he would, he loves her so much. When she told us, just two months ago, she brought David with her and we could tell from the look in his eyes and the way he looked at her that he truly, definitely, irrevocably loved her. And yes, we did tell her that in that exact format. We knew she knew Twilight so she laughed when we said "irrevocably."

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
About 6 months later...
August 23rd, 2 days before the wedding.
There was a very short time between the wedding and between the honeymoon and I could not wait for David to be all mine. I was overexcited for something else as well, to be Mrs. David Archuleta! This was truly the biggest and most important occasion in my life to date. This was the greatest happening ever. Everything was set up. My parents were here, my friends were here, his parents and siblings were here...everyone we loved was here to support us in this step in our lives. Standing in the middle of the bedroom, I feel a gentle kiss on my neck and I know it's the love of my life greeting me again.
Me: "Oh David, stop."
David: "I just can't keep my hands off of you!"
Me: "Just two more days, honey."
David: "Oh my gosh, I just remembered...did you get any more of those calls?"
Me: "Actually, no, kind of weird. I guess since we announced our intentions they stopped. And just in time right?" I laugh.
David: "I didn't think so since you haven't been mentioning them."
me: "Let's just hope it stays that way!"
* To Be Continued *
[1] If you are reading this, then you A. have read the entire chapter and not stopped when I told you to or B. you stopped when I told you to...and if that's the case, I praise you. Anyway, from the beginning point of the footnote ([1]), it was just a closer to the chapter. I really didn't mean it to be dirty, but it is. This chapter was a challenge and I didn't want to make it too short so...I just used the first thing that popped into my head. I'm disappointed in myself with the horrible nature of the last part. Personally, you'll be happier to read the next chapter. :) Thanks.
