~The Culmination: "Long Awaited." The Explanation~

Today is May 1st, 2010 and as you know, my first ever completed series concluded yesterday. Many people say still be a little blurry on why the series was called what it was. Well, I am about to explain everything.
Reasons To Call This "Long Awaited:"
1. Virginia Presley was in love with David Archuleta for 11 years before he proposed to her and they got married. 11 years is a really long time to be in love. In this time, she hasn't had a boyfriend, except when she was 19. As we followed her throughout the 6 years we've been with her, William, the boy who sexually harassed her and Justin, the man who fooled her, were her boyfriends. William made Virginia close off and that made Justin and David's jobs harder. Virginia was never one to give herself away, give her love and trust away like that, it would take some time for her to finally decide to. Justin finally got to her. Back on track now, Virginia had been in love with David for some time now, she had already given her trust and love away. She was never fully in love with William or with Justin. She actually never called Justin her boyfriend until Allison did behind-the-scenes. Virginia had always had fantasies that David and her would someday meet and fall in love and now that that has actually happened, her dreams have come true. This was the "Long Awaited" moment.
2. In chapter 13, Virginia and David met for the first time in their lives and they felt an instant connection. David never knew what it was and actually, he tried denying it when he started to fall for her, but he could no longer in chapter the chapter titled: "It Took Him Two Years." It took him that long to finally say that he loved her. It took him that long to finally accept all that he has been feeling. Spending sleepless nights and hours upon hours thinking about her must've been tough. That moment in chapter 19 and 20, where he finally said it and decided to go after her was to "Long Awaited" decisions and acceptances.
3. As I said, Virginia and David met for the first time in chapter 13...simply put...Virginia always wanted to meet him and had no clue until "The Fireside" that she would be meeting him, courtesy of James and hidden by their friends. This meeting was also 'Long Awaited!' Sorry for all the puns, but I'm just trying to explain.
4. Virginia was pregnant and was an avid feature in searching for David and finding clues and all of this, but despite that...it still took them 8 months. She was ready to plan a funeral. She had the video telling the fans of David's fate, of his death, already recorded and Chase was ready to let her upload it when Marissa, "The Missing Link," came and told them all the information they needed to find David. Everything changed. This was the 'Long Awaited' hint.
5. And lastly, the 'Long Awaited' finding of David Archuleta in captivity, thanks to Miley, Demi, and Selena...WHO SUCK! After 8 months, many people and many false statements, they found David Archuleta bound in the basement of Miley's childhood home in Long Island. Virginia demanded to go inside and get him and see her husband for the first time in so long. And while there, we all remember, she went into labor. I assume it was from the excitement and the mixed emotions she was feeling and that she was so far along when they finally found him. It was a shock and that little spark set off a chain reaction.
So this is why the series was actually called, "Long Awaited." If any of you were a little unclear on this, I hope what I have just taken the time to write cleared everything up. If you have any questions of comments, you can contact me by posting a comment to this section of the series. The next post will be the official end to the series.

"Long Awaited" Chapter 50: "Happily Ever After" (Finale)

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
I see a few paramedics come into the basement. I'm sitting on the floor, writhing in pain. I'm performing the breathing exercises my mom helped me to perfect, but they were not working well.
Me: "Where's David?"
Fredrick: "Is all you think about is him?"
Me: "Yeah! I'm worried! How's he doing?"
Fredrick: "They took him to the hospital, okay? Now it's time to think about yourself."
Me: "Fine, OW! Take me there!"
Fredrick told me he needed my help to get me on the stretcher. I cooperated with him and I got on. Thomas and Fredrick helped me get to the hospital. They stayed with me in the back while a lady, Tanya, drove us. They wanted to make sure I didn't have anymore horrible contractions. In 10 minute's time, we are at the hospital and I immediately ask for David, but they need to prepare me for the table. A few minute's later, I'm getting wheeled into the operating room. David comes in about 5 minutes later and he looked better than before.
David: "How's she doing?"
Doctor: "She's 9 1/2 centimeters and we have to do this now."
David: "You can start."
Doctor: "Go by her side."
David: "Guarantee I'll be there the whole time."
And my husband runs over to my side and grabs my hand despite that he only found out about my condition a half an hour ago.

Chase's Point-Of-View:
We see a car pull into the driveway from the front yard. We don't know who, but I take my team to the source. We sneak stealthily to the backyard, not to alarm any possible suspects or intruders. We hear the back door open as we enter the backyard. We see three ladies enter the house and then we check out the license plate. It was Miley's car. They were home, just in time. I signal my crew to head up the stairs. I get in front of them and demand Miley and the other two girls open the door.
Me: "Miley! We have the place surrounded. You and your friends, come out with your hands up."
Miley: "No, I still have a hostage!"
Me: "It's all over now. We took David to the hospital. He's safe and you have nothing to change our minds. We'll either force ourselves inside and arrest you and you'll come out peacefully. If you do so, we can probably give you time off."
Demi: "Miley! You said we wouldn't get caught!"
Miley: "I didn't think Marissa would say anything!'
Me: "Marissa, whoever that is, has nothing to do with this!"
Selena: "Well then who told you?"
Like the feeling from a movie scene, an episode of CSI or something, I open the back door that was left unlocked by a surprising chance, and quietly me and two of my men, go inside. I keep talking to them, sneaking around walls, pretending like I was still outside, but I wasn't. We move around the house as stealthily as we can and then I sneak up behind Miley. Patrick gets Demi and Harry gets Selena. We slap the handcuffs on their wrists and I read then their rights.
Me: "Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Selena Gomez, you are under arrest for the kidnapping and false imprisonment of David Archuleta. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can not afford one, the court will appoint one to you."
Harry, Patrick, and I take the three girls out to the cars and place them in separate vehicles. We have done it. Three menaces are off the streets, a superstar is safe, and a mother is going to have her husband back and he will see his baby born.

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
I thought I was only pregnant with one child, but I just had twins. One was a boy and one was a girl. We named the girl Diane Jaclyn Archuleta and the boy Cody Brian Archuleta. But sometime after the operation, a nurse came by and said they needed David again. They needed to run some more tests to make sure the drugs Miley and the others gave him will not hurt him. He went back with the lady. I was lying down in the recovery room when my husband was wheeled in.
David: "That was painful."
Me: "What?"
David: "They had to pump my stomach."
Me: "Yeesh!"
David: "But you went through a lot more. I just wish I knew that you were pregnant."
Me: "No, you shouldn't have. Because either way you were going to get kidnapped and then if you knew, you would be terrified for me and you might've not been as strong. You might not be here with me now."
David: "Aww, honey. Knowing that you were pregnant would make me stronger and I would hold onto life just knowing you were out there looking for me."
Me: "I would've never stopped looking for you. Just knowing you were out there, somewhere with some freak kept me going everyday. I knew I had to be strong for you."
David: "Honey..."
Me: "No, I needed to be strong for you. You were always my source of comfort. You always made me happy. I knew from the beginning that if there was a time of need for you, I would have to be yours."
David: "I---"
Just then two nurses came in holding our new children.
Nurse one: "Here's little Diane."
Nurse two: "And baby Cody."
They handed both of the children to me. I brought them close to my face and hugged them tightly. I laughed.
David: "What's funny?"
Me: "The only thing that kept me going while you were missing were these two. They were my only physical link to you."
David stood up out of the chair and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and smiled when he saw the babies' faces.
David: "You did a great job."
Me: "We did a great job!"
David gets a little dizzy and sits down on the other bed next to me. He brings it closer to my bed and lays down on it.
Me: "You know I love you, don't you?"
David: "Every waking moment and you better know that I love you."
Me: "I do."
I look through the giant windows in front of me, across the walkway. The sun is about to set and I tell David to look out that way as well. He does and we sit there for what seemed like an eternity, staring until the sun set in a flash. In that flash was a deeper meaning, it showed me everything that has happened. From the first time David and I met, transferring over to our wedding and the kiss, then the concert in which David was taken and finally finding him again. Everything. But the flashes kept coming, 10 years from now. Our children all grown up. Growing old together and loving every second of it. I didn't know if he saw the same thing I did, but I honestly didn't care. I closed my eyes and a tear falls out. David looks over and wipes the tear away. The lights now on in the recovery room, he smiles at me.
David: "Why are you crying?"
Me: "I'm just so glad to have you back and you have to promise me you'll never leave me again."
David: "I would never dream of it, Gin. I missed you. I love you."
He leans over to me and gives me a kiss. The moment our lips interlocked, the flashes came back, but it was of nothing but a picture of this beautiful moment. I was holding the babies and he was kissing me. It was a beautiful picture, something I never wanted to get rid of. I cried again when the picture faded to black and I came back to reality.
Our Reality.
~ The End ~
Or is it?
"If love is in play, then let love stay because with this feeling, there can be no end."

"Long Awaited" Chapter 49: "This Complicates Things"

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
I run over to David, on the floor in the basement of this house, and I try coaxing him to wake up. I pick up his head in my hands and look at his face. I'd never seen him look worse, but to me he still looked gorgeous.
I start smacking his face a little, not too hard, I didn't want to hurt him, "David! David! David! Wake up, honey!" I try that about 6 times, but nothing happens. I remember that Marissa said he was under a lot of anesthetics. I sigh and back up. I look at him for a while wondering what I should do to wake him up. Nothing crosses my mind so I just sit back and think. Soon, David starts moving a little and he opens his eyes just slightly.
David: "Leave me alone."
Me: "David?!"
David opens his eyes fully now because he recognizes my voice, "Ginia?"
Me: "Yeah, David! I'm here!" I start crying more. I move closer to him to untie his binds.
David: "Thank you, honey! I missed you!"
Me: "You missed me? I missed you!"
David looks at me now and notices my stomach. "Woah, are you pregnant?"
Me: "No really!" I laugh at the tone of our voices. Very playful, I missed this with him.
David: "How come I didn't know?" He moves a hair away from my face.
Me: "You were kidnapped before I could tell you, ouch!"
David: "Oh, did I hurt you?" He asks because he knows I get hurt easily.
I close my eyes in pain, "No...just...my stomach! It's been a hurting slightly all day."
David: "How far along are you?"
Me: "Um...8 and half months."
David: "Oh. My. God. No way. You're not!"
Me: "OW! I'm not what?"
David: "Are you going into labor?"
Me: "I don't know!"
David: "How'd you find me?"
Me: "Some girl came to the police station. There's police cars outside. And ambulances."
David: "I'll be right back, stay right here."
As weak as he was, he got up.

David's Point-Of-View:
I got up from my pregnant wife and said I'd be right back. I knew I shouldn't leave her there, but I had to go get the ambulance people. I walk up the stairs as fast as I can, I would run if I could, but my head was still throbbing from all the anesthetics, up the stairs. I remembered being transported inside the house and I remembered the way to the front door. I maneuver my way through the upstairs house and to my surprise, a man was waiting at the door for me.
Chase: "David! I'm so happy to see you're alive!"
Me: "Thanks! Umm...we got a situation in the basement..."
Chase: "What?"
Me: "Uhhh...Virginia's in labor."
Chase: "WHAT?"
Me: "Yeah, I think we need someone down there..."
Chase: "Fred! Get a stretcher, she's in labor!"
Fredrick: "OH MY! We'll be right there!"
Fred and a crew member come running into the house really fast and whiz past me. That made me even more dizzy. I wanted to follow them, but I could barely stand up.
Chase: "Come with me. We'll get you on the other ambulance. You'll meet your wife at the hospital. She'll be fine."
Me: "I want to see our baby born though."
Chase: "You will, but the nurses will get you cleaned up and will give you something to counteract the drugs Miley gave you."
I can barely see straight and Chase takes my hand to the ambulance, where they put me inside. We drive off down the road, supposedly the way to the hospital. On the way there, I see Miley's car come by...she was going to meet them there.

"Long Awaited" Chapter 48: "4 Minutes"

Chase's Point-Of-View:
Within seconds of the new information, I get on the phone with the Sergeant.
Sergeant Antonio Gradden: "We've been waiting for something like this! Get your crew and go! I'll call the hospital and give them the address. They'll meet you there, okay?"
Me: "Of course, I just wanted to clear this with you. Should I bring Virginia with us?"
Gradden: "Absolutely, but keep her protected at all times."
Me: "Of course!"
I retrieve Virginia and her mother from the room that Marissa was in. We thanked Marissa and told her to come with us. We had her and Virginia in separate vehicles though because she was still a risk. We didn't know anything about her and it was putting Virginia's life in danger just having her talk to Marissa. We start the vehicles up and we can see with that start, we lifted Virginia's spirits up. We had to get there fast.
Marissa: "Oh and Mr. Carson."
Me: "It's Chase."
Marissa: "Oh right, Miley, Demi, and Selena are out so you can get there undetected. David is under some serious anesthetics so he is completely out of it right now. I can't say the same when we arrive, but Miley and the others will still be out at that moment. She said they're out grocery shopping and they won't be back for a long time."
Me: "Thank you again, Marissa. We really appreciate it. You do not understand how large of an input you've had on this case."
Marissa: "I can only imagine."
In just thirteen minutes, we arrive at the house where David has been kept for the longest time. This was the final countdown. This was the end.
I saw the ambulance coming in from behind us.
Me: "Okay, thanks for coming, but wait until we say we need you. Don't go inside. It might be booby trapped."
Fredrick Tamphlon: "Absolutely. We'll wait for your signal."

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
I get out of the vehicle I was told go inside with my mom as soon as Chase gets out and I run, well...you know what I mean, over to him.
Me: "The fans are happy!"
Chase: "What do you mean?"
Me: "I tweeted and got a million and one responses."
Chase: "Umm...okay? Who do you want to send inside to get David?"
Me: "Me."
Chase: "No! You can't!"
Me: "Why not?"
Chase: "I promised Serg I'd keep you safe. plus you're pregnant...if something were to happen to you..."
Me: "Chase," I look him straight in the eyes. "I watch crime shows. I know what you're feeling. Just let me go inside. I want my husband to see me first."
Chase: "I don't know if that would be a good idea. But...go..."
Me: "Thanks!"
Chase: "But wait until we know no one is in there beside David!"
Me: "Okay."
Chase runs over to a police vehicle and starts looking at the scanners that they placed over near the building. They were heat scanners and they could detect heat particles from people inside. Soon, after they surveyed the entire house, he runs back over to me.
Chase: "All systems go. You can go, but I still don't think this is a good idea. He's in the basement."
Me: "I'll be fine. I don't care. I just need to see him." I run away from Chase and run inside the building. I start watching very carefully where I step when I enter the house. The first thing I see was a living room, it was very nice, actually. I start looking very discreetly around corners for any sign there's a door to the basement. Across the kitchen, in the back of the house, I see the door. It's open and I know it's the basement. I walk across the kitchen, ducking and being ninja-like, at least as ninja-esque I could be with this huge stomach. I was actually doing a pretty good job. I go to the door and start walking down the stairs. Right before my eyes, there he was. Tied up and bound by his hands in the basement. I cried that I finally have seen him again. I run to him.

"Long Awaited" Chapter 47: "The Missing Link"

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
8 months later...
I was a wreck without David. After a month of Utah, I was sick and tired and I had to go back. I stayed with my parents and I told them that I was pregnant so it was no surprise to see me getting bigger. My mother liked to see me like this, but I didn't know why. I just thought it reminded her of how she was with me. I was happy that she was happy, but on the inside...the only thing keeping me from letting myself go was being pregnant. It was the only physical reminder of David that I had. Thankfully, we knew who it was, but the only problem was that there was no way of getting to her. This means that there was no way of getting to David. Thinking about that made me dejected and I just wish there was a way to get to him...but by now, I was ready to plan a funeral. I was that sure he was too long gone that he couldn't still be alive. The Archies were the best fans ever. They knew my feelings and they were there for me. They knew how I felt as soon as I put up the public service announcement stating I think David might be gone. They were there. They would talk to me. They would comfort me. They would try to cheer me up, but I knew that they felt the same way except for the being pregnant thing. Anyway, for the past few months, I've been wearing black. I think that is the most common color in my closet now. Honestly, my hope was almost all gone, that was before I received that one call.
Chase: "Virginia, we need you down at the police station now."
Me: "Why? What's the problem?"
Chase: "There is someone here who refuses to talk to me. She demands to speak to you! She says she has information on the whereabouts of your husband."
Me: "Are you serious?"
Chase: "Just get down here!"
My mom was standing by my side and she could hear what Chase was saying. She offered to take me to the police station immediately because I was really large. My mom joked with me about that. I thought it was funny. So we got in the car and she drove me there. She helped me out and we rushed, as fast as we could, into the building. Chase was waiting by the receptionist's desk and smiled when he saw how big I'd gotten.
Chase: "Whoa, how far along are you?"
Me: "8 and a half months."
Chase: "Looks like it."
Me: "HEY! Anyway, where's this person?"
Chase: "Right this way."
He goes in back of me, to make sure I didn't topple over. He dictated which way to go and then I saw a 20something year old girl. She looked not over 25. She was a brunette and wore a fake smile, I knew to calm herself down. When she saw me, she stood up and reached out to shake my hand.
Marissa: "Oh, this is worse than I thought. Oh, hi Mrs. Archuleta."
Me: "Just call me Virginia."
Marissa: "Okay, should we go somewhere more private?"
Chase: "Yeah, go into the interrogation room over there. It's fine."
Chase followed Marissa and I into the room and I sat down diagonally right of her and Chase, to my right. Marissa sat down in front of us.
Marissa: "I have some information about your husband."
Me: "Okay, what would you like to say?"
Marissa: "Miley is one of my friends. She told me everything about this just a week ago. I know where she is and I know how to get there."
Me: "Why would you tell us this? Do you want something in return?"
Marissa: "No, I love David Archuleta. I just want him back."
Me: "Okay, where is she?"
Marissa: "Miley is keeping David in a house on Long Island. She said she loves him and is not going to let him go. I don't know why. She has two accomplices named Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez."
Chase and I look at each other and then at Marissa. our mouthes are hanging open.
Me: "Well, thank you very much, Marissa. Chase, we're going to have to go now."
Marissa: "Hurry and find him. I don't know what she's done with him. All I know is he's alive."

"Long Awaited" Chapter 46: "Good News and Bad News"

Virginia's Point-Of-View:
Daniel: "What do you mean?"
Me: "Well, okay..."
Amber: "Girlfriend, just spit it out..."
Me: "Okay...you know David was doing a show in New York right?"
All: "Yeah..."
Me: "Well, and you know about those phone calls I've been receiving..."
All: "SAY IT!"
Me: "Yeah, well...turns out...my ex-boyfriend set David up with this girl before, her name is Miley Cyrus and she sexually harassed him. Knowing him, he sent her away and got a restraining order against both of them, but those phone calls were all from Miley. God knows how she got my phone number! So tonight at the show...David went to the bathroom, but before he left he said to check on him in 10 minutes...12 minutes later, I go to the men's bathroom and he's gone. Turns out, Miley kidnapped him and we don't know where he is."
There was a long pause that seemed to drag on until the end of time. I could tell they knew it was bad, but just not this bad. And just as I thought, Lupe started crying...to my surprise, I could see some tears in Daniel's eyes. Amber was still in a state of shock, she didn't know what there was to say. Jeff's mouth was hanging open.
Daniel: "Wait! So let me get this straight...This girl named Miley Cyrus kidnapped David?"
Me: "And that's not the worst part of it either."
Jeff: "WHAT?"
Me: "Uhh...yeah, but now is not the right time. I shouldn't say."
Amber: "What is it?"
Me: "Uhh, I can't say it."
Lupe: "Can...you...please....just...tell us...nothing can be worse," she manages out in between her sobs.
I start crying, but the family has no idea why. They think I just finally was hit with reality that David, my new husband, was missing, but that's not why I was crying.

Daniel's Point-Of-View:
I see Virginia begin to cry, but I don't have a clue why. Instinctively, I stand up and walk over to her. I want to give her a hug, but I don't know if I should. I just think to myself: "What do I do?"
Me: "You don't have to tell us if you don't want to."
Virginia: "I want to and I have to, but I just can't."
Lupe: "Then don't say it."
Virginia: "But I should. And you should know!"
Amber: "Gin, we're all here for you. Just...just say it."
Me: "Yeah, no matter what it is...we'll be here for you," I rub her shoulder so as to soothe her.
Virginia: "Amber, remember when you called me two days ago...I had to go because I was going to the doctor?"
Amber: "Yes..." she gasps. I know she caught on.
Virginia: "Well, it wasn't any old doctor...I want to the gynecologist."
Lupe: "Should you be saying this is from of Daniel and Jeff?"
Virginia: (still crying) "Oh, like it matters anymore. Anyway, I'm pregnant."
Lupe: "Oh my gosh, congratulations!"
Amber: "Congrats! I'm so happy! Well, I'm depressed and happy."

Narration:
That night, the Archuletas received both good and bad news. Virginia had no idea what they were going to do with it. But being a pregnant lady, she was still really depressed. What if this baby was born and David wasn't here to see him or her? The Archuletas, however, were both excited and tearful. However, that house was mixed with emotions for that night. Only time will tell what emotions are lingering in the long run.
